Gizmodo : David Hasselhoff Signed iPod

I'm going to try this and sell it on Ebay "Ipod signed by James! No reserve! NIB!"
Buy.com - Sungale DVD2026 Progressive Scan DVD Player

This is great for someone like me because it will play any region of DVD's so those made here in England will work on it as well as the ones I have from the states. Most DVD players are not lie this. Now if it would play DivX/XviD Mpeg4 WMV and have wireless networking capabilities it would rock. Today only get this item for $25. yep that's right a 25 dollar DVD player. How sweet it is!
Intel™ Digital Blue™ QX5 USB Computer Microscope for PC, up to 200X Objective Lenses, High Quality 640 X 480 Resolution and Lab Supplies

And why do I need this you ask? I don't it would just be cool to look at stuff through a microscope. Maybe when I have kids I can justify the purchase :)
Harrods showcases $32,000 TV - Engadget - www.engadget.com

Harrods is at it again! You can't even walk in that place without your wallet starting to hurt. Last time I was there as I walked through the doors my credit card grabbed on to the door frame and wouldn't let me in. It was comedic, like being in a cartoon.

http://podfolio.desclides.net

The flash skills for this website are great! However why would I want to step down to using an Ipod interface when I'm on a real computer? It's worth checking out though just for the flash.
news@nature.com?-?Celebrity shots probe face recognition

Ok, I'm only posting this because this is the 5th time this week I've come accross this article. It must be important or something if you are a scientist. I had to stop reading about a quarter of the way through because I was so bored. That whole smarts thing just doesn't appeal to me. i m smert enuff!
7" Portable DVD Player

Not that I'm looking for one of these because my Ipaq can play movies just fine, albeit with a lot of work, but $130 for a 7" portable dvd player was worth a mention here.

Electronics & Accessories

a 20.1 inch widescreen lcd for under $650.
Amazon.com: Electronics: ReplayTV RTV5504 40-Hour Digital Video Recorder

So I'm still hceking out the Digital Video Records. This time its a ReplayTV from Amazon for $55 however I'm still not keen opn the idea of having to subscribe to their network or TiVo's for that matter. That's why i am still leaning on building my own. I still have a few years to see what happens to them before I get back to the states. Besides if I build my own I can change anything I want in it anytime. Still tho, 55 bucks for 40 hours. That's a pretty good deal.
Amazon.com: Books: The Complete Far Side

Amazon.com is selling the complete farside collection for $54. This thing is like 1,274 pages or something like that. While $54 is a little expensive for some comic book it is $27 cheaper than the lowest price ever seen by delanews.com and list price is $130.00. So maybe it's not such a bad deal :)

dealnews. Madden NFL 2005 PS2 or Xbox for $20

Madden 2005 for 20 bucks. If I don't get this for christmas I'm gonna have to buy it myself. That's just too good of a deal!
Amazon.com: Sports & Outdoors: Flybar Model 1200

Last year I got a skateboard so maybe this year I'll get this pogo stick. Nevermind the $299.99 price tag. It's supposed to launch you pretty far in the air though and doesn't use springs but a system of adjustable elastic bands. Did I mention its a great work out. Perhaps the Air Force should issue these :)
Deep Discount DVD

This is basically a CD full of freeware and opensource software. It's not bloated with a bunch of crap but rather has a collection a just a few of the best products in different catagories. This looks like it would be nice to have with you when working on someones computer for when they say, "I need a program that does ..." You could say you have a free product that does just that :)

Pocket PC Thoughts - Daily News, Views, Rants and Raves

"That's right. We're tired of having to listen to your loud, obnoxious conversations. We don't care about yer new haircut or what "he" might have said to you the night before. (We couldn't believe it either!) It doesn't interest us in the least whether or not you are going to attend the company Christmas party or when you need to pick up yer ugly kids from soccer practice. Nope. Don't want to hear it. We're fighting back."
That's pretty funny. Just the other day some lady was basially yelling into her phone outside and the entire parking lot could hear. When I got closer to the door and her I could even hear who she was talking to on the phone from about 20 feet away. I'm like "You have got to be kidding me."
Pocket PC Thoughts - Daily News, Views, Rants and Raves

A link to some free Dictionary software of the PocketPC. Has anyone tried this out?
Knowledge Base: How to Rip your favorite DVD to PPC

Now that I have a PocketPC I can start Encoding some of my DVD's to take with me on trips. Watching them with my wife might not be the best since the screen is so small but it will be great for on the bus or train. Until my wife gets mad that she doesn't have anything to occupy her time :)

Google has a new feature that is still in Beta right now. It is called Google Suggest, and as you type things in it will offer you suggestions. I think it may be based on number of hits but I'm not sure.
